Care needed at Taramakau Bridge
28 July 2017
Trail Manager

Cyclists are urged to take care when negotiating the section of cycle trail from southern end of Taramakau Bridge to the new boardwalk at the entry to the Greymouth Kumara Tram. Currently there is intensive construction work occurring on the roadway in this section and the cycleway has been diverted to a narrow path on the seaward side of the highway. The speed restriction for vehicles in the area is 30kph while the present earthworks are proceeding. It is envisaged that the present construction activity in the cycleway area will be completed within the next month.
